- The Vancouver Short Film Festival is committed to the promotion of the vibrant community of short film, video and new media artists in BC. The next festival will be held October 28-29, 2010.
- The 5th annual Women in Film Festival (WIFF) was held on April 17-18, 2010. Sandra Garcia earned the 2009 WIFTV Volunteer of the Year Award for spearheading the publicity campaign for the 4th annual WIFF, New Media Day, and the 9th annual Spotlight Awards Gala, in celebration of Women In Film & Television Vancouver‘s 20th Anniversary.
