Marketing Mastery Summit Dec 3-4

When it comes to Marketing and branding, I like to think I do a good job, but there are always areas where we can improve in. That’s where conferences like this come in.

On December 3-4, the organizers who put on the Vancouver Business Network Meetup and the Social Media Marketing Unplugged Conference are returning for the two-day Marketing Mastery Summit. Due to my client’s event, I won’t be able to attend myself, but I have had the pleasure of seeing 4 of these 9 speakers at past events, which include branding expert for Fortune 500 companies, Stephan Stavrakis, and $40,000/month earning blogger, John Chow.

Regular priced tickets are $497 and early bird pricing is $297 but people in my network can earn a 60% savings and attend for $197 by entering the promo code “middlechild.” Register at www.marketingmasterysummit.com.

If you are attending, I know you will find this conference a massive help in not just “Marketing” but being the “go-to” expert in your field. Take lots of notes for me and let me know how it goes!

Vancity Amy spreads Gastown shopping buzz

Local Vancity blogger Vancity Amy did a preview post of the upcoming Gastown Shopping Trips with Jessie Carlson Wardrobe.

The first one is actually coming up on August 7, and there is still room so be sure to contact Jessie Carlson and Michelle Addison at jessie@jessiecarlson.com to reserve one of six spots.

This is not just a private tour of three Gastown shops; for three hours, you will get a chance to have professional stylists help you with your purchases and with putting together your wardrobe.  Over drinks and treats, each of the boutiques will help you solve your outfit conundrums to make the whole experience pleasurable and easy rather than frustrating amongst normal shopping crowds. Check out the link above for all the info, or Vancity Amy’s blog post here.

World’s first Star Activation DJ Event (Feb 23)

This event is unlike any other that I’ve been asked to work for, but I’m super excited about it. I first met the co-creator, Baljit Rayat of Lotus Destiny, at the beginning of the month through one of my clients who is also an artist. Baljit is a woman of all trades – artist, DJ, Master Healer, Akashic Records Consultant (you’ll have to visit her website to read all about what Akashic Records are), the only teacher of the Soul Journeys Method in Western Canada (a method of soul and energy healing), and an expert in reading a person’s Soul purpose.

I attended one of Baljit’s healing circles to make sure she was the real deal. I’m not exactly a skeptic to the concepts of psychics, karma, past lives, and subconscious hypnosis, but this was my first time doing something like this.  Baljit has a very rare and powerful gift of unveiling people’s internal walls, reading blockages, and helping to release negative energy.  The healing circle was a very powerful and emotional experience in which I could not physically see energy being flowed through us, but could feel it. I’ve never felt others’ emotions so powerfully since my Grade 11 high school retreat.

In conjunction with Derrick Bauman, a Soundscape Producer under Ascended Thoughts, and the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, Baljit will project her Sacred Geometric Patterns (which she has called “Star Activations”) under the space dome while Derrick will provide the ambient sounds and music. With a capacity of 230 people, this will be a truly energetic experience! Check out the release below for how to get tickets.

Release: Social Media Marketing Unplugged

I’m happy to have helped out the team at Social Media Marketing Unplugged with some media outreach for their upcoming conference.

I’m choked I won’t be able to attend it myself, but hope to catch some follow-up video footage so I can learn from some of these amazing speakers.

The early bird rate is still in effect I believe, so catch it while you can. Students get 25% off.

Media and bloggers can request passes by contacting Jonathan at the email or number below.

Release: (also available in PDF here)
